A Double Wammy Win!
By Alissa Koopal on Mar 7, 2016 at 12:09 PM

Is probably the main word that we can utter at the moment.

Having been extremely humbled to have been nominated and short listed for an award at both Downtown Liverpool's Women in Business #WIBA16 and Network SHE for their International Women's day awards ceremonies, we were super excited to join both high profile events as a guest. Little did we know that we were actually going to walk out of both with an award!

A major thank you to the fantastic organisers of both events! The keynote speakers at both events were super inspirational and we are utterly proud to have been chosen to win.

Network SHE Foundation founder Ruth Lloyd-Williams said the event had been a resounding success and she congratulated all the winners and shortlisted finalists, including Alissa.

“Alissa thoroughly deserved her award and I’m absolutely delighted for her.

“The judges said it was one of the toughest years they’ve faced in terms of deciding winners. Like Alissa, every one of the winners and finalists and the many more who entered had such inspirational stories to tell.

“I’m just so pleased that Network She can shine a spotlight on these women and young people whose amazing achievements might otherwise go unnoticed by many.”

The awards coincide with International Women’s Day (Tuesday 8 March), an annual event in the international calendar celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
